MT. ZION BAPTIST CHURCH
The heart
of WMU is missions.
That is our reason for being. WMU follows the following principals:
v
PRAY FOR AND GIVE TO MISSIONS
v
DO MISSIONS
v
LEARN ABOUT MISSIONS
v
DEVELOP SPIRITUALLY TOWARD A MISSIONS LIFESTYLE
v
PARTICPATE IN THE WORK OF THE CHURCH AND DENOMINATION
Mt. Zion
offers many opportunities for the church to participate in missions. We
also have several age level organizations if you are interested in
participating in a small mission group.
Mission Friends
– Boys and girls birth through kindergarten meet every Wednesday 7:15 in
the Children’s Building. They have an opportunity to hear about
missionaries in a fun, hands-on learning environment.
Girls in Action (GA)
– is the mission education organization for girls in 1st
through 6th grades. GA’s meet every Wednesday 7:15 in the
Children’s Building on the 2nd floor. They hear stories
about the missionaries and the different cultures as they learn to pray
and give and do missions.
Acteens
– is a mission organization for girls age 12-17. Acteens have
opportunities to grow in their relationship with God and look beyond
themselves and become actively involved in missions and ministry.
Women on Mission
- is the mission organization for women 18 and above. It is an
opportunity to meet with other women in a small group – grow in our
relationship with Christ and in mission involvement. Missions Mosaic is
the mission magazine for Women on Mission and it contains articles that
inspire women in missions. Mt. Zion currently has four mission groups
for women:
WMU
Bible Study group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at
10:00 a.m. in the Conference Room.
Current Mission Group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at
7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room.
Julian
